Mothers Day

Carter gave me the cutest Mothers Day present.  He made it in school.  It is a book!  The first page says.  I love you so much because you bake me chocolate chip.  You take care of me when I am Sick. Love, Carter.  The second page says...

I laughed my head off.  35 pounds!!!!!!!  Wow, that would be skinny.  Size 28 in shoes....ummmm  maybe in some other country.  Ok, but really, My biggest wish is to have the best kid in the world and he made it come true.  I am so glad he knows that he means that much to me, and in a way I did have one of my biggest wishes come true.  This pregnancy has caused me to be really moody.  I am not normally so crazy.  It is taking its toll on my family.  Instead of yelling at everyone all of the time I go to my room.  Thus, everyone and everything are being ignored.  I am trying to do better, but I have always been pretty even tempered so this is craziness for me.

Only a few more months family!

Pat's Run 2009

This year I had a crazy idea to run/walk the Pat Tillman Run.  A friend of mine had decided to run it already and we made it into a family ordeal.  Lisa ran and I jogged/walked 4.2 miles!  Lisa has been inspirational in becoming healthy.  I was excited to participate in her first run with her.  Then later Daniel and Lisa's husband Danny....(I know another Dan name) ran the kids run of .42 miles with the kids.

Lisa and I didn't have a camera at the finish line.  A nice guy took the picture below and emailed it to my junk email.  I was happy to have a junk email today.  Here we are smiling super big and proud.  

We even finished faster than I had expected!

The kids were so pumped for their race!  They could barely wait to get started.  They both ran the entire way.  Chase finished in 2 minutes and 26 seconds.  I think the course was a little less than .42 miles because I really don't think my 3 year old can run a 6 minute mile!

After the race we went into the Tillman Tunnel.  They had the locker room blocked off, but you could see inside.  They have a tribute to Pat on the walls. 

Today has been a long day, but it has been really fun!   Oh, and in case you are wondering...I don't recommend run/walking a 4.2 mile race at 21.5 weeks pregnant.  My feet hurt so bad! Plus, I got the weirdest looks.....even though Lisa said it was all in my head.  

Easter of course!

I can't believe it is Easter already.  It seems like this year is flying bye!  That is probably because we have so much and so little going on at any given moment.  Our family really enjoyed being together this holiday season.  The boys got along well.  Saturday night we colored Easter eggs.  The boys thought the plastic coating was a cool thing this year.  Then, Sunday morning we woke up to the boys sneaking around the house.  The boys are not allowed to leave their rooms on holidays until we come and get them!  They had looked in the fridge to discover their colored eggs were still there.  Apparently, they ran back to their rooms very fast because they saw a SHADOW!  LOL!  It was they Easter bunny...they just knew it.  Chase said, "It was scary with large claws!"  I love my boys.

We were extremely excited to get a perfect look at our little GIRL today! I personally have always wanted a little girl! Chase keeps telling everyone that we went to the dr. and our baby is a girl so he gets to protect her from scary monsters. We haven't told Carter yet because he is at school. Here is a picture of how cute she already is....as a side note...I am almost positive she will look just like a Rae. Her name will be TAYLOR JANE RAE

A first

Carter had another first this week.  He lost his first tooth.  He had been begging me to pull it for awhile, but I couldn't get it out.  The day he lost it I knew it was going to fall out really soon.  I didn't want to miss it due to my obsession with dentistry.  As I put the apple in his lunch that morning I thought it was going to take my mommy moment by pulling that tooth for me.  I was right.  He came home from the bus holding a bag in his hand.  He was so excited....(I was so disappointed, stupid apple)  He promised I can pull the next one.

Finally!

Today Daniel woke me up from my nap reading me a letter we have been waiting for for months. Daniel W. Rae is now license to practice Chiropractic care!  Yeah.  He graduated in December, but Arizona State Board of Chiropractic takes their precious time when it comes to licensing.  That is all in the past now!  

I don't have much to blog!

I feel like I haven't blogged in such a long time, but at the same time I am not sure what to blog about.  So, here is a little overview of the Rae house.

Chase- He has actually been quite an easy kid lately.  He has loved playing with friends lately.  His "Best Friend" signed up for the same preschool class this session and they have loved being in the same class.  Preschool is coming to an end soon because I failed to sign him up in the first couple hours of registration and he lost his spot.  I will greatly miss preschool!

Carter-  He is starting to turn into a reading and spelling machine.  It is amazing to see how far along he has come this year.  His favorite subject seems to be math!  Carter's soccer team finished undefeated this season.  Carter scored a few goals, but his strength is defensive.  he is so aggressive on the field that it is fun to watch.  Carter's 2 week break is coming up soon, and I know he really wants to go see his cousins, but I can't seem to make a decision about going.

Mary (me)-  Writing my own name seems odd.  I have been continuing to grow a baby.  All seems to be going well with the pregnancy.  Some of the complications I have been having seem to be getting better.  I haven't blogged much about it.... Sorry.  (We will save that one for later.) I thought I wasn't going to be sick with this baby at first, but I was REALLY wrong.  I wouldn't say it has been anywhere near what I was with Carter but, nevertheless, I am still sick.  I do really well in the morning and really bad a night.  

Daniel-  He FINALLY takes his test to get his license on Friday.  Then it is just a waiting game until it comes in the mail.  He decided today that it is a good idea to start studying.  Daniel has also been very busy around the house.  I haven't done dishes for 5 weeks!  (which means he has) Actually, I haven't done anything lately!  He has been running the household, riding his bike to work, and working full-time.  I love my husband!

So, as you can see not much is happening.  Sorry for that lack of fun here.  Maybe we will do something fun over the break!
