Happy Birthday Carter

Carter has turned 5. This morning he kept giving me five saying, "I'm five!" Our little five year old thinks he is taller, stronger and faster today. We had a Party for him at Chuck-E-Cheese a few weeks ago. It was really affordable and the kids were so entertained. It was very helpful that most parents stayed.

Doesn't he look so happy. I am so glad I decided to make this year extra special for him. Birthday's near Christmas can be tricky, but I've learned you need to make a very clear distinction between Birthday and Christmas.

He actually had a Transformer party, but Safeway doesn't have Transformers...so he said Power Rangers would be great for his cake. I just didn't have time to do it myself this year.

This kid got so many presents. I have never seen a kid get so much. He was on cloud nine. This morning he got to open one more from us and one from Grandma and Grandpa Rae. Then The guy I babysit for and his primary teacher brought him and gift. I am sure he will always remember this birthday.

This is Carter with his cousin Jordan. They are pretty good friends and love to play together. You you look back you will see other posts with them together.

COWBOY UP!

The boys had so much fun at Aunt Jenn's House. We went there for Oakley's baptism, but you won't see pictures of that because I forgot the camera. Carter, Chase and Kyller got along really well. Jenn pulled out all of her old cowboys clothes. They kids were in Rodeo heaven. Carter and Chase both came home with cowboy boots, cowboy shirts, and chase got a cowboy belt. Grandpa even took them to see his horses!

By the way, if any of you know how to turn and post pictures from a MAC please leave a comment. I can't figure it out and I know it has got to be easy.

Update on my update

Well, the world is still spinning. The Dr. said that my 8th nerve got inflamed. It was really irritated. When 8th nerve is inflamed your body doesn't recieve balance signals correctly. There is a name for this. I can't remember what he called. So pretty much it is a waiting game. I feel like I take 2 steps forward and one step back most days, and every once in awhile I take a few steps back. Yesterday I was of balance, but the world was not spinning. It kind of shook...i guess. Today balance is a little better than yesterday, but the world is spinning. Words of encouragement are helpful at this moment. We are going on 10 days. I'd be ok if I could JUST drive and take care of my children. Thank you to all of you who have sent cards, flowers, phone calls and messages. Sometimes it is hard to stay positive and I would rather love than drugs.

Update

So, I thought I should send a quick update. I was in the hospital from Thursday to Sunday with the world spinning. I am home, but the world is still spinning. I hope it decides to stay still soon because I am loosing the ability to stay positive. The Doc don't know what caused it or how long it will last. I had a CT scan and an MRI and both were normal.

Happy Hollow

So, This was actually a couple of weeks ago. The kids LOVE going to Happy Hollow. It is a park and zoo. On this particular day we decided to just go to the zoo part of the park. Grandma Rodgers bought us a year pass, so we can visit anytime we like.
The kids really enjoy getting close to the animals. Chase is so adventurous. He feeds the animals with no fear. He also know that if the looks along the walkway he can find pet food that other members dropped, and then he picks it up and feeds it to the animals. It works for me because I don't have to waste a quarter.

The Other kids in this picture are my friend Jenn's. Jenn and I have know each other since BYU. This big spider web is a great way to keep the kids in one place for awhile

There is a tunnel at the base of the Lemur habitat. The kids climb in and can a paine of glass from the animals.

This turtle is actually pretty cool. The kids got to pet the turtle! This turtle is actually really friendly. She follows the kids around!

It is a prtty small zoo, but the kids love it. Out year pass gets us into museaums and zoo all around the U.S. It even gets us into the Zoo in Arizona, Georga, and Utah!

Park Day

Our ward has park day once a week. The kids and I try to go to Park Day as often as we can. i even try to bring along the two boys I take care of. The park we went to this week was pretty cool. It is set on a hill and has lots of hiking trails.

My friend Jenn came to our park day with us. Our kids play pretty well together.

It's a picture moment. All of the kids are in one place at one time!

I don't know what it is lately. I can't get a good picture of my kids. They will not look at the camera. Ahhh. Come on boys. You are only young once. When you grow up and I am annoyed by you I will need good memories of how cute you are.

Family Night

For family night this week we went miniature golfing. Carter actually tried to play the game! Chase got about 17 hole in 15's and 1 hole in one.

Phoenix, AZ

Daniel and I went to Phoenix, Az (actaually Chandler) for 4 days last week. We went all by ourselves. It was the first time we were away from the kids together for more than 16 hours Since Carter was born almost 5 years ago. We had a blast. Daniel checked out many placed to set up a practice and I checked out schools. We also looked at many areas in town that we may want to live. We found a Dream first home and a pretty good perspective job. Plus daniel landed a position with Dr. A. Palmer for his intership! Dr. Palmer works with the Diamond Backs and the NHL league there. Way to go Daniel. Everyone keeps telling us that all of this schooling will be worth it. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Boys with Babies

So, Carter and his friend Trevor decided that they were going to have babies. Carter has about 10 babies in his shirt and his friend has 2. Their babies were positioned a little high, especially Trevor's. They were so excited to be mommies, and I couldn't stop laughing.

Chase is 22 lbs 3 oz. Yeah Chase! We have been trying to get his to eat some good calories and fat for quite some time now. Althought he still hasn't reached the 3% line, he is getting closer. He was running about half an inch under and he is half of that now. He is also 33 inches. good eating.

For those of you who are not familiar with Macs. They have a program called photo booth. My boys love the special effects that distort their faces. They could take pictures for hours. Their favorate one today is the funny ears. LOL! My Digital Camera has been held up lately, so we tried posting something different.

4th of July poted a little late

we have been on a long vacation. First we were at cousin Jordan's house, then Granny's, the Hughes's, and Granma and Grandpa Rae's. We had such a great trip. The boys were great. For the 4th of July we had a parade, pancake breakfast, games at the park, saw Transformers, had a BBQ, and went to the fireworks. Other than a little "I'm Tired" whining the day went GREAT!

Burried Alive

Daniel decided to burry the kids in the sand today. They thought that dad was the best. Being only 20 minutes from Santa Cruz has been great. The boys love the waves.

T-Ball

Carter had his last T-ball game today. He really plays well. It has been so fun to watch him. Today he hit a ball over all of the kids heads!

Daniel has been preacticing with him after school almost everyday and they really enjoy the time together. Chase helped take the pictures today.
