Finally!

Today Daniel woke me up from my nap reading me a letter we have been waiting for for months. Daniel W. Rae is now license to practice Chiropractic care!  Yeah.  He graduated in December, but Arizona State Board of Chiropractic takes their precious time when it comes to licensing.  That is all in the past now!  

I don't have much to blog!

I feel like I haven't blogged in such a long time, but at the same time I am not sure what to blog about.  So, here is a little overview of the Rae house.

Chase- He has actually been quite an easy kid lately.  He has loved playing with friends lately.  His "Best Friend" signed up for the same preschool class this session and they have loved being in the same class.  Preschool is coming to an end soon because I failed to sign him up in the first couple hours of registration and he lost his spot.  I will greatly miss preschool!

Carter-  He is starting to turn into a reading and spelling machine.  It is amazing to see how far along he has come this year.  His favorite subject seems to be math!  Carter's soccer team finished undefeated this season.  Carter scored a few goals, but his strength is defensive.  he is so aggressive on the field that it is fun to watch.  Carter's 2 week break is coming up soon, and I know he really wants to go see his cousins, but I can't seem to make a decision about going.

Mary (me)-  Writing my own name seems odd.  I have been continuing to grow a baby.  All seems to be going well with the pregnancy.  Some of the complications I have been having seem to be getting better.  I haven't blogged much about it.... Sorry.  (We will save that one for later.) I thought I wasn't going to be sick with this baby at first, but I was REALLY wrong.  I wouldn't say it has been anywhere near what I was with Carter but, nevertheless, I am still sick.  I do really well in the morning and really bad a night.  

Daniel-  He FINALLY takes his test to get his license on Friday.  Then it is just a waiting game until it comes in the mail.  He decided today that it is a good idea to start studying.  Daniel has also been very busy around the house.  I haven't done dishes for 5 weeks!  (which means he has) Actually, I haven't done anything lately!  He has been running the household, riding his bike to work, and working full-time.  I love my husband!

So, as you can see not much is happening.  Sorry for that lack of fun here.  Maybe we will do something fun over the break!

Chase Face

We ran out of milk yesterday, so first thing this morning I ran to the store while Daniel was getting ready.  I didn't want to drag the kids along.  I had forgotten that I left chase at the counter coloring with markers.  I don't usually even let my kids color with markers.  Chase loves to color on walls, random papers, and himself.  Luckily this time it was only him.  Thank goodness for washable markers.  

Daniel was pretty good about it when I showed him.  He explained to him that it wasn't okay.  Then he put him in the bath and took a picture.  Chase was very impressed that the water turned blue.  I asked him what he was drawing on his face.  He said circles.  I think he looks like Optimus Prime.

Ok, so only Carter was shirtless.  I know this post is late, but I couldn't help it.  For the first time Carter really got into the super bowl.  He actually cried when the Cardinals lost.  It was pretty cute to watch him copy everything his daddy did and said.  So, not only did I have one boy screaming at the TV.  I had two!  I did watch about half the game this year.  That is a record for me.  

Daniel has been working swing shift lately.  Carter has really missed him.  When they are together Daniel really works hard to make their time together meaningful.  I love my boys!

Pregnant belly Tag

I helped my sister-in-law to come up with a new tag for pregnant bellies, and then realized I would have to post mine. I am not showing yet, so all you get is this wonderful before picture. Too bad it is to soon in the pregnancy to blame my little bit of extra on the baby.  Oh well. I have to be a good sport since it was partly my idea.

I also had an ultrasound a few days ago.  The baby is growing at a normal rate, and we got to see the heartbeat.  On Wednesday I have my next appointment and hopefully we will be able to hear the heartbeat then.

So, i tag all the pregnant women that visit my blog....Jill... Shannon...Celeste....and I know of a few others that I am not sure if they have publicly told they are pregnant.....Now is a great time girls....you are far enough along now!

Why do people live in Arizona?

We first moved to Arizona in July. It was so hot I could barely walk Carter to the bus stop. I kept asking everyone why exactly people live in such a hot place. Last weekend I finally got my answer.

In January you can wear shorts and a T-Shirt.

Or you can wear pants and a long sleeve shirt.

We really enjoyed being able to play baseball as a family!  Even mom joined in.

On another note, soccer season has just begun.  The boys both get to play this season.  Both boys are proving to be pretty competitive!  Carter scored  2 goals and 1 assist his first game. 

We have some sort of soccer 4 days per week. 

We are having a baby!

Yep! You read the title correctly.  Daniel and I have been trying for a baby for 3 and a half years now.  Many of you know that this had been a long and very hard road.  Trying to get pregnant has been one of the hardest trials in my life.  We always imagined ourselves with lots of children.  A few months ago we had decided that life would be fine with only two kids.  We only had a few steps left to be able to adopt a baby.  Well, now that won't be necessary.  We feel very blessed by the Lord for his willingness to send us another child, and we could not be more delighted.  I had my first appointment yesterday and all is well!  We told the boys on Sunday.  They are so excited.  They both call it a girl... lol... they say when she...her....  They are both going to be amazing big brothers.  Too bad we just got rid of all of our baby things.  Oh, well!
