I don't have any pictures.

I feel like I haven't taken pictures for a long time. We have been really busy though. Carter had his first dental appt. I know...I know...how could I have let him go that long? Well, he had two cavities. I already knew he had them. I have a mirror and explorer at home and I found them over a year ago. He was really good at the dentist. He hated the toothpaste but loved the "vacuum" He goes back for his filling soon. Carter is also playing little league this year. There will be plenty of little league pictures because we will being doing little league 3 days per week! I know we are crazy
Chase has been doing so well with potty training. I can't believe how easy he was. We are almost done with diapers at night even. I love being diaper free. Chase also loves preschool. Everyone is always really impressed that he goes without even the slightest fight. The high school kids are really good with him too. He loves to paint!
Danie is studying hard for part 2 and 3 of his national boards. I am really proud of him. He is doing so well in school. He is a great chiropractor. It is nice to have him at my fingertips. He is so patient with me and all my aches and pains...thanks huney!
I am in school full-time! I am very proud of myself also. It isn't easy going full-time with 2 kids at home, but I am enjoying myself. I am even taking a guitar class. I won't say I can play the guitar yet, but I am learning. One day I will post a song of me playing....at the end of the semester.

Mini Vacation

We have been planning a mini vacation to my parents house in Grass Valley, CA for a month now. We needed some time to do fun things as a family. We went down to bridgeport where they have an old wooden covered bridge. I did get a picture of it, but carter looks extra funny so you don't get to see it. The bridge goes over the Yuba river where I used to go swimming as a kid. We crossed the bridge a noticed a 1 mile trail to Engelbright Lake and thought what the heck.

The kids were such sports. The were jumping and trying to run the trail. Carter kept saying he wasn't having fun, but he was really enjoying himself. This is a picture of the boys when we reached the Lake. The water is WAY to cold to get into right now, but that didn't stop the boys from begging. The answer was NO.
This was the first break we took. Amazingly it was on the way back. Like I said...The boys did really well. I forgot how much I love to hike. I also forgot how much I miss home. It was so fun to be back in the valley and see so many amazing thins.
Daniel enjoyed the hike also. He just had to clim this tree. I secretly was cringing inside. I was worried. What if something happened to him and I had to hike almost a mile to help with a hurt husband and 2 young boys. Good thing he was fine. But someone please feel bad for me. Their is nothing girly about this family but me.

The next day we went up into the mountains and played in the snow. I didn't enjoy the snow much. We didn't go high enough so it was hard and icy. No snowmen...just snowballs.
Carter had a hard time making snowballs at first, but once he got the hang of it he was crazy. He could throw snow at mom, dad, and brother and not get into trouble.
Chase was a little more cautous. I think because he is small and sinks to the waist easily. I love you chase...you are just so cute!

POTTY TRAINING!

He is really doing it! I can't believe it! He is so strong willed it seemed a little crazy for me to even start, but I am so glad I did. He only had 3 accidents last week! We are well on our way. I am officially done buying diapers until the next one comes along. I am starting to feel spoiled. No more DIAPERS and 6 HOURS alone every week.

He was really excited to show off his undies and get a picture of them.  You can also see how skinny he is.  They don't make undies small enough to fit him.  I wash in hot water and dry to a crisp trying to shrink them.

Two in Preschool!

Today I dropped Carter and Chase off at preschool for their first day together. That is right, they are together. I can't believe it. 6 hours a week of fun and learning for them, and 6 hours for me to have alone. Don't get me wrong....I love my children...but I am alone. When I got there both of the boys were great. They went right in and started playing. I thought it was going to be easy letting them go in, but my eyes started welling up.

Their names side by side. I love that they are in the same class together. Carter is kindergarten ready with knowledge, therefore, I don't feel bad putting him in a preschool with Chase for review.

My baby has gotten so big. He was so excited. He finally gets to stay with Carter, and he gets to wear a backpack too. I can't believe he is already almost 3. It is time for another one now...wish it was that easy.

Carter is such a big boy too. He is the oldest child in preschool this year. (by a couple of months) I told him he needs to be a good example. He said he would make good choices. He is going to protect his little brother.

Crash

About a week ago Carter crashed on his bike. A nice mother would have run him inside and cleaned him up. Not me, I made him pose for a picture because he fell right into a nasty puddle. Can you believe how dirty he was?

Both boys got bikes from Santa for Christmas. They would love to ride them everyday, but I am too cold to stay out there for too long. Too cold....lol....bay area too cold....I guess we have lived here long enough.

Water Works

We go to the Children's Discovery Museum often. Normally I don't take the boys to the water area because I don't like having soaking wet kids. The kids enjoy playing in the water. Chase loves all of the tubes that suck the balls up and send them into whirling containers or waterfalls. Carter likes to make a mess.

This water feature has steam that builds up ender it and you can let it out by breaking the waterfall.

Family Pictures

It was about time for us to have a new family picture taken. Since the photographer was there for Daniel's brother's wedding we took advantage of her. She is also a family friend. She did a pretty good job especially when you consider what age my boys are at.



Daniel just had to do something fun with the boys. He really loves having two boys and doesn't wish to have a daughter anytime soon. He would be happy with ALL boys. I think the boys really thought he was going to drop them.
